In July 2012 the Summer Olympics come to London, and the eyes of the world will not only be on our Capital city but the whole country as events are competed for across the United Kingdom. The Summer Olympic Games are held every 4 years in a different country, the last games were held in Beijing, China in 2008 and the games following London will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Sportsmen and women will be coming together from all over the world and for many of us, this is a once in a life time opportunity to see an event such as this take place in our country. Following the Olympic Games, London will also host the Paralympic Games, where athletes who have a physical disability compete (taking place between 29 August and 9 September 2012). In the build up to the London 2012 Olympic Games why not get involved with the Olympic Fever which will take over the country. A selection of ideas and information have been put together to help you plan a programme for a meeting night (or several) focused on the Olympics which could include holding your very own mini Olympics!
